Politics Appeal Court Upturns Election of APC Lawmaker, Bars Him Contesting Rerun

The appeal court sitting in Abuja has upturned the election of a former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Bello, into Federal House of Assembly.

According to VANGUARD, delivering judgement in an appeal filed against Bello by Hon. Tijani Damisa, the court ruled that election be conducted in Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal constituency within 90 days. The judgement also barred Abdullahi Bello from participating in the rerun election.
